I GOT A JOB!!!!

I am so excited to let everyone know that I just landed an amazing job and am SO excited!! I feel really lucky and can't believe I landed this job. It's really crazy how everything falls into place and everything happens for a reason. The company I am now working for is an online wedding planning resource called mywedding.com. Check it out! It's a great company and the new headquarters is in Castle Rock literally 5 minutes from our house!! WOOP!! Not only is it my dream job but it's so close I could ride my bike! My title is Advertising Consultant with the Northeast Territory of the U.S. including NYC, Massachusettes, New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, and others. It's a great territory and I can't wait to really get started. My first day was last Thursday so I have had a small taste of the business and there is SO much to learn but I love it so far!! I still can't believe I am the lucky one!!! I am so relieved and glad to have a great job, one that I enjoy going to with people that have been great so far. YAYYYY!!!

Night on the Town!

This past weekend our friends Matt and Rachael invited us to a fundraiser for Jeremy Bloom's Wish of a Lifetime Event. The organization grants wishes to elderly people along with an auction to raise money to grant more wishes in the future. Rachael's company was doing the marketing for the event and randomly there were two open seats at their table so we got to join in on the fun. It's always fun to do something out of the ordinary and get dressed up! It was an awesome night, with great food and drinks :) The food was made by the Olympic head chef for the U.S. Olympians which was really cool and yummy!!! Some guests at the event included, Tara Lipinski (Olympic gold medalist ice skater), Jesse from the bachelorette( Deana's pick), Brady Quinn (Now Denver Bronco) and a few others. We had more than a fun time and were paying for it the next day but it was totally worth it!! Here are few pictures from the evening.....

Obviously they had to get a shot with Miss Colorado haha

Yummy in my tummy!

I feel really unhealthy for writing this post but I can't NOT share my yummy discovery with you all! Today I was in the grocery store walking through the ice cream aisle (real wise decision) and found this new ice cream that I thought sounded tasty. It's a cake batter ice cream by Kroger and since I LOVE cake batter ice cream, I got very excited. Must be a bad sign when a new flavor of ice cream can make your day. Anyways I had a bite, ok I lied I had a bowl, and OMG it's AMAZING!!! If you like cake batter ice cream, this one is really yummy! Tastes just like the real thing and even has mini sprinkles in it....a perfect ice cream to celebrate someone's bday. Well, now that I gained 5lbs from it I suppose I better go work it off....yeah right, who am I kidding??? :)

Spring is the air...

I LOVE this time of year when Easter is almost here and flowers are just starting to come out of the ground in my yard! I planted some lilies last spring and can't wait for them to start blooming, but first will be my tulips! We have had the best weather these past couple days....80's!!! I am praying the weather continues to be nice because I really don't think I could handle another dump of snow. I probably just jinxed myself though....

"Just Keep Swimming, Just Keep Swimming".....

Seems like this never ending job hunt is really getting the best of me. Many of you know that I have been on the lookout for something for quite some time now and just haven't stumbled upon the right job yet. I have had a few interviews but they haven't ended up panning out or maybe it's just because they haven't been the right fit. I am SOOOO ready for the job economy to be back but it doesn't sound like that's going to be anytime soon. There's a lot that I'm interested in which makes hard to narrow down my decisions and then once I do it's even more difficult to land that perfect job. I just have to keep swimming and know that what's meant to be will be and that the right thing hasn't come around yet. Guess it's sort of like dating, but thank God I have that one figured out!! I will just have to wait and see what's in store for me and think happy thoughts! :)

25 Years Young

I have been pretty bad about keeping up with what's been going on in our lives so to update a few of you, I turned the big 2-5 a couple weeks ago and thought I would post some pics. Our good friends Kyla and Ryan were able to come out from Scottsdale along with my other close friends and family. I had two birthday dinners which were both awesom and of course I got spoiled with gifts and birthday shout outs which made me feel really special. I love when your birthday is only one day of the year but you can drag it out a couple more days :) Mine seems to last 2-3 days longer than it should, ha. On another note, Kelsi and her sister Britt, were able to come out this past weekend which was great to see them. They live in NE so we don't get to see eachother much but it was fun catching up. We always have a good time together! Here are some pictures from the past few weeks! I'll try to be better about writing more often :)

DONE!

We FINALLY finished painting the very last room in our house! I really can't believe we have painted literally the ENTIRE house! Are we crazy??? I think so. The last room left was the second guest bedroom and I have been itching to finish it for about 6 months now...we just never got to it. So finally last weekend we finished! I had been wanting to paint a mural on the wall and finally found an idea that I liked. That was by far the hardest part of the room. Drawing free hand on a wall is crazy hard! It took me about two days just to do the tree and the bird but I am really happy about the finished product. Now we will have to move on to the next house project. John Witt says basement and I say kitchen, we'll see who wins. I guess we should start on the basement (aka mancave) so we can put all his hunting and football stuff back up :)Glad this project is done and now we can focus on something new! Hope you all enjoy.

Well, I never thought I would be creating a blog but here I am writing my first post!I think this will be a fun experience for me and also great for family and friends that don't live close to us to know what we are up to! Recently I had thought about keeping a journal but that just seems like way more work especially since I can type fast. So here is the blog of our life from day to day, hope you all enjoy! xoxo allie
